ABOUT THE ARTIST A lifelong horsewoman, Susan Frauenheim Bradley found her love for riding and showing at the Buffalo Saddle and Bridle Club at age seven and has been involved in all aspects ever since Through her love of family and horses, Susan "horse show parented" through, 4-H, Hunter/Jumper, and AQHA as the family showed in showmanship, halter, western and hunt seat riding, jumping, reining -- many times all on the same horse! (Quarter Horses really DO "do it all"!) The horses Susan sees at these vastly different events (from backyard ponies in 4-H to million dollar horses in international level competitions) add variety and authority to her artwork. Primarily a self-taught artist, Susan has been under the guidance and expertise of renowned artist and instructor MaryAnn Waligur-Doering, for many years now. Susan’s artwork has won numerous awards in competitions throughout the area and several named Best of Show. You can see Susan’s artwork in and around Western New York in libraries, restaurants, and larger Art and Equine Events. Commissions always welcome to capture that special win, or to create a portrait of your special equine, Susan works from your photos, videos, and barn visits to ensure that the “special personality” comes through in the artwork.
